Charles H. Jesser, CPA
Chuck is a Senior Partner of Jesser, Ravid, Jason, Basso, and Farber, LLP. He co-founded the accounting firm of Jesser and Farber, LLP in 1998 and later established the current firm through a merger in 2013.
Before branching out and starting his own firm, he spent several years as an auditor for the United States Treasury Department and Harris Bank.
Chuck is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois CPA Society, and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Beyond accounting, he serves in various independent fiduciary positions, including representation of families as well as for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.
John V. Basso, CPA
John is the Managing Partner of Jesser, Ravid, Jason, Basso, and Farber LLP.
John received his undergraduate degree from Loyola University in Chicago and his master’s degree in taxation from DePaul University.
He is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 30 years of public accounting experience, including several with an international firm.
John’s emphasis is on personal and business taxation. He also works extensively with small business clients, providing accounting and consulting services.
Mark T. Jason, CPA
Mark graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago and has more than 35 years of public accounting experience. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has experience at the national and local firm levels.
Mark is our quality-control partner, responsible for accounting and audit compliance. He reviews and approves all financial reports issued by the Firm.
In addition, Mark works closely with small businesses and individual clients on various accounting, auditing, tax, employee benefit plan and other consulting projects, including cost studies in multiple industries and expert witness reports.
He has extensive experience with law firms, broker-dealers, and American affiliates of foreign companies.
Scott D. Farber, CPA
Scott Farber received his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa.
He is a Certified Public Accountant and has more than 30 years of public accounting experience.
Prior to joining in the formation of Jesser, Ravid, Jason, Basso, and Farber LLP, he co-founded the firm of Jesser and Farber, LLP. Before this, he spent many years as an auditor with a large local firm.
His specialization within the firm is in tax, accounting, and consulting services. Scott has extensive experience in real estate taxation and complex accounting matters.
